Two duck pips so far!! Update, they are out!!!

I WAS going to go to bed and then decided to check the duck eggs on lockdown ONE more time. I have two of the crested indian runner eggs pipping!! Now I WONT be able to sleep.

I wont be able to help getting up and checking them through the night.
I need good luck sent my way, I want at least two of them to hatch....

These are fawn and white crested indian runners. Last year when I was hatching runners, I got one random crested duckling.
Will update, though I find compared to chickens, ducks hatch slower than molasses...

No real progress as of this morning. Maybe the pips are a little bigger.
I KNOW they are slower but its still a bit nerve wracking.

Can't wait to see pics of the new little fuzzy butts. I know how hard it is to sleep when they are hatching, but that means you could be awake for days straight!

Well...still nothing happening with the pips though I did hear a peep just a little while ago.
It makes me nervous and also makes me wonder if it is true about cresteds making it to pip but not hatching successfully much of the time?
I guess what will be will be but I am sure hoping.

After staring at it with the flashlight, one of the pips DOES look a little bigger but maybe that is wishful thinking...

Well, there are no more pips so far but the two that HAVE pipped are finally making some tracks!
