Late November, I had a Pekin having trouble standing, which I initially chalked up to a snow related injury, possibly an ankle sprain or something. Several weeks later, she was significantly lighter due to not eating as much as she should and died short after.
Two weeks ago, another Pekin was found laying under some cover. Same story, she died early this morning.
I now have a Cayuga that was unable to walk yesterday morning. She's inside, same as the other two, and currently rambunctious, and walking, but I'm beyond nervous. I put a couple calls in to the vet and the local ag extension for a necropsy, but I'm not expecting a response till Monday or Tuesday at the soonest.

Refrigerate, do not freeze, the body. What is your location? We can try to help to by-pass an unproductive call to a vet and get right to a lab to arrange the necropsy.

Has it been extremely cold where you are? This can cause hypothermia and it can cause the symptoms you describe.

Exposure to petroleum distillates, such as contamination of soil by a leaking machine dripping fluids where poultry pick up grit can cause weakness and paralysis and death. When more than one bird dies, I look at environmental factors.

Water source can be an issue with birds if it's unfiltered untreated well water, for instance, as well as soil contamination as in the above.
