I have four female ducks, and today six eggs were gathered. Eggs from previous layings were NOT missed. Twice a day, we sift though shavings where they lay, and look outside of the laying area for eggs as well. This has happened before.
All eggs have hard shells, so no duds.

Seriously, tho, I do think sometimes 2x day can happen, especially when they're younger, and the system is still working itself out. Enjoy your extra eggs Stacykins!
