Two eggs from one hen today... but the second had no shell

    Both were normal size eggs but the second was just the interior membrane of an egg. No shell. And then she ate it. [​IMG]

    Why do they lay eggs with no shell? This is a pullet and her 11th egg.

    Sometimes new layers get a glitch in their plumbing. I would not worry about it unless it keeps happening.
