Two eggs in one day from my turkey hen??

i got an egg yesterday or the day before from my turkey hen, and then this morning I got an egg from her but without a shell it just had the membrane and the yolk and white inside, and then I'm outside with her rn telling her goodnight its about nighttime here and I got another egg from her! Is that strange? Or just luck?

They can produce an egg without a shell in a short time, applying the shell takes about 24 hours or so. So they can lay a shell less egg and a normal egg in a single day. Generally soft shelled eggs are more common when they are starting up or shutting down for the season.

Yeah she just started laying about two almost three weeks ago. She's still fairly new. I get an egg pretty much everyday from her, she's been a great layer. So it is normal and fine that she laid two eggs for me today? I was like what?? The one this morning just had the squishy membrane but no shell and then this one was a normal shell egg, just smaller than her usual ones

She must have ovulated twice, sometimes they become double yolk eggs, other times two separate eggs, but they can't put a shell on two eggs in 24 hours.

Okay glad to know she's alright and that was normal lol! Thanks she's been a terrific layer, laying everyday pretty much
