I had no clue that could happen!

And rizq you are so right about the eggs. I actually gave all my eggs away...I had 4 dozen and the next day I actually needed one and borrowed it from my mother in law. Those shells are super thin on store bought eggs. I never thought about it till here recently!

Usually they lay an egg every day and skip a day now and then. Once I had a hen lay two eggs in one day. One of my girl’s layed one egg in the early morning and again in the evening. That day all of my girls layed an egg and I had one extra egg. I collect the eggs every day and feel around in the nest boxes as they have tried to hide them under the Spanish moss I use in the nest boxes. One evening when I collected the eggs there was one extra egg. I had 16 chickens and 17 eggs. I have had soft shelled eggs when the girls were pullets.
