My polish girl, CJ, is almost nine months old and quit laying at the onset of cold weather a couple of months ago. However, today she laid an egg early this morning and another this afternoon, and it's freezing cold here. She has recently gone through a mini molt. I would never have known if I hadn't noticed the new pin feathers around her neck. Anyhow, I wanted to know how this is possible. Was she backed up or something? I thought it was physically impossible for them to lay more than one a day.
