Two eggs

My Easter Egger has been laying for two weeks. She went a day without laying a few days ago, but has been back to laying daily for the last few days. Today there were two eggs from her! My kids love checking for eggs and check for them multiple times a day! Like, anytime they hear a chicken in the coop singing their songs. So, it has been checked 3 times today. They weren’t there before. She is the only one laying the blue/green egg. Has anybody had this happen before?? I am waiting on two other chickens to begin laying, but one is a Wyandotte and the other a polish, so neither would be the blue egg.

Occasionally it does happen, especially with new layers. Congrats on the pretty eggs. It's great that your kids are getting so much joy out of finding those precious eggs (it does make you appreciate them more than when you just buy them at the store).

It really has been a wonderful experience for all of us. Good to know that it is normal for those things to happen. I’m pretty new to this so I had no clue what to think about it! Thank you!
