They've been doing it all along, and the eggs are pretty close to done. Do you think they'd leave now? My husband and I jokingly call it co-parenting!
 
We have 11 hens and two large nesting boxes, however our hens only use the one box and the same corner of it. They are good about it and take turns without fighting. If one is laying the others just form a line waiting for her to finish instead of using the other side of that box or the other box. Its funny seeing them wait in line when they don't have to, but if it is what they want it is fine.
 
Congrats on your green egg! My five share 2 boxes, and they've done the twoferone too...lol
On the right, Mary Ann couldn't hold it any longer, so climbed in behind Ginger.

I could have 40 nest boxes for my 12 hens.....and they would STILL bicker over that one special box
