Two in one day :( ___UPDATE____PIC

Great news! I went to get my laundry off the line and made my husband go with me because I'm terrified there might be some wicked cat lurking around - I'm a big chicken. I walked past the pool, got my laundry, freaked out because a tick was climbing up my leg (second one today). When I was walking back up to the house my husband started laughing and said, 'O.M.G. There's a chicken in the pool."

My easter egger roo was in the pool!! He's been in there for HOURS!!! I mean hours!! This poor rooster has been in there for 6 hours at least! He was so happy to get out and into the coop. Poor guy looked awful. I'm so glad he's ok.

Yep....you sure have had a crazy day..! Glad you found your roo okay...I think i'd put a nip of vodka in that lemonade this one time.I'm sure its not gonna be easy telling the kid what all happened today...! Sorry for your losses, your due for some good luck ...!

Thank you all so much! I am more than happy I found this rooster! He was brooder mates with my duck. Poor duck would be lost in this world without his bff!

Wow! What a day. I thought I was having a bad week, but I think yours tops mine. Glad you found your roo. I'm surprised he managed to stay afloat that long. Poor guy. At least he was one spot of good news for an otherwise awful day.

Sorry for your losses.

Sorry about the loss but you can relax a little, unless that cat is very sick, you probably will not see him except by accident because they are shy critters. Looks like it's time to fortify the coop and run, might consider overlaying the existing wire and top with a heavy welded wire since patching the hole won't help. Might consider a electric fence to keep all the predators as well as the dog away from the birds and simply charge it when you not around. They are easy to set up and available in solar models so you can have it in a remote spot and it's easy to move and that can be very handy too.

It was an awful day for you. I'm so sorry about your losses.

So glad he survived.

Bobcats here will lounge by people's in-ground pools when it gets really hot, or lay up by their back doors in the shade and eat the pet's food, or the pets if they get a chance.
