So I have two incubators and several dozen more eggs coming in the mail and I'm not sure how to do this!

I have a still air incubator with eggs at day 12 that I am hand turning...

And I have a Genesis 1588 with a fan and egg turner with pheasant eggs that I put in yesterday...

I have several more batches of pheasants eggs due to come this month.

Do I add them all to the Genesis (that way I won't have to hand turn them!) and then move each batch to the still air to hatch? Or will that be too much of a shock as they will be going from an incubator with a fan to a still air.

Advice would be appreciated!!!!

That is what I do is incubate in the one with circulated air/turner and then hatch in the still air. I just make sure I add them at least 5 days apart so I have time to make sure they have all hatched that are going to and I can get the hatcher cleaned and temp leveled back out, before it is time for the next set to go into lockdown. Good Luck!

I have built two bators now. One I use for incubating and one is for hatching. I make sure each batch is at least seven days apart so like kids-n-chickens said, the hatcher gets cleaned and back up running again. I would add the new eggs coming to the Genesis. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the help...

One more question...in the still air the temp is 101.5 on the eggs (on the wire floor). Seeing as the temp is so different from the top of the incubator to the bottom, does this sound right?
