I just wanted to post that both of these little hen chicks are turning out to be quite the lap chickens!! What will I do when they’re huge Orpington women??

Pretty much the same thing. I have 3 year-old Orps and they love jumping in my lap when they can.

They'll mostly do that when they are very young and learning. Your reaction will educate them and they won't do it (or only very rarely) when they are older.

My adult lap chickens have learned that if Mom is pooped on, everyone must get off and mom leaves to change clothes. They now usually hop off my lap and then hop back on a few minutes later. We are still working on no poopy feet on mom so we have taught to ask permission first

Chicks are definitely poop monsters and I lay a towel on my lap first. But adults usually sit sideways and use my legs like a roost bar. So the poop usually hits the floor. But accidents do happen and when it does, the lap sitting session is over!
