They are both 4 weeks old, one is darker than the other. The dark one is also larger than the other. Any guesses on the sex?

Julie, they're still a bit young to tell on the gender. Are these from blue breedings? The big one is blue.

They are from kathyinmo's lavender project. She has lavender and blacks. I thought the one looks a little more like blue to me, too.

And I was kind of thinking both roos. But still hoping!

Is it me or the photo, the chick on the left got green legs?

I am guessing both are cockerals due to the size of their combs however Orps are difficult to sex at that age, they would fool me many times over.

They are difficult to sex, more so than Ameraucana's I think.

I had 1 at hatch that was the largest chick with the largest comb, and it turned out to be a blue pullet! I had a couple that kept me guessing until 8 weeks. By then it's pretty obvious.

id have to say one looks splash and one looks blue, i hatched b/b/s and lavs this year and none of my lavs look like that, but my splash and blues sure do.

I'd also guess that those are splash and blue. I have lav orp chicks the same age and I just took pics today. I'll post them in a minute.

Do orps feather in at different rates between sexes? I have one with quite the tail and the other doesn't hardly have a tail at all. Same age. I know this can be a sign on other breeds but haven't had orps before.
