Two legged predator/pest got 5 Buff Orpington hens and 1 New Hampshire Red rooster Sunday night/Monday morning (June 10 pm to June 11 am) out of my coop after a rain. I'm in southwest Warren County, IA.
Due to the rain and wet gravel road I could see where he/she/they parked on the road at the end of my driveway, got the chickens out of the coop, and quickly drove north leaving ruts in the gravel road from turning and tearing out in their escape.
Just warning those in the area to be on the lookout.
Of course, if you have any information as to the whereabouts of the chickens please let me know. They were definitely pets to us.
No, a four legged predator didn't get them. They were closed up in a nice, tight, new(er) coop.
Thanks.
