Two of my girls dead and one hurt badly

That appears to be a lash egg or material that is a product of salpingitis (inflammation of the oviduct.) It is a common reproductive disorder. I would continue treating her wounds with saline or Vetericyn and applying plain antibiotic ointment twice a day. Is she standing, and how is she eating?
Thank you The same incident happened to me with the other hand a while back, but nobody could tell me what it was so thank you for that information

I would either soak her vent area in a shallow pan of warm water with Epsom salts or a little table salt 2 tsp per gallon of water. A warm wet compress held for 5-10 minutes would be a good substitute. They may help to soften the scab. Keep the scab moist with plain Neosporin or similar ointment.

She stands most of the time, but she has been sitting. She has been eating watermelon. She loves that I gave her some egg yolk. She ate some of that and mealworms. I just hate watching her suffer. It just hurts my heart. Now her wound on her chest is black. Is that normal? The first picture is the wound on her back the second as your chest

Made a mistake the first with the one that’s black is the one on her chest

She stands, and she sit. Sometimes she’s been eating some watermelon, meal worms, she even ate a little bit of egg yolk.

I have a silver laced Wyandotte given to me with a wound larger and deeper than that by her tail, and she healed fine. I just used wound spray and it took some time. Hang in there.

Thank you so much I guess patience is a virtue. I just do not like any animal suffering hurts my heart.

This Friday morning I went out to take care of my girls let them out of the coop feed them give them freshwater. Two of my girls were dead. They were nine years old. I’ve had them for nine years. One of my girls had her head gone. The other one was in the run she did not have her head gone, but it was broke. My barred rock she’s only about three years old she got away, but she was really hurt so I did get a hold of my vets online and got instructions how to help her. I started her on these fish antibiotics, ampicillin. We got a completely new coop that was completely safe. She’s the only one I got left she’s healing, so I did not want to get any more right now but let me show you her wounds. They’re pretty bad been putting anabiotic pain medicine given her children’s ibuprofen and actually putting them in wrapping her up so that Wounds won’t be exposed. when Vet told me give her a chance she will heal he seen worse much worse. He said the other vet said to put her to sleep. I will send pictures of her wounds. She’s a fighter, so I’m gonna try to help her. I’ll give her the pain medicine and keep the wounds covered. I believe it might’ve been a raccoon. It really broke my heart. If you have any feedback, please let me know. I’ve never been through this before. The one wound is on her chest and the other one is on her back. And yes, she is eating a little bit but not a lot. I made her scrambled eggs yesterday and put her ampicillin in it. She ate half. I’m cleaning her wound and taking care of her twice a day. Thank you for taking the time to read this. This is been such a heartbreak for me. We are seniors in our 70s and it is a job. But of course I’m willing to do this. I don’t want her to suffer or I don’t want her to be in pain of course.

After my Rainbow hen was attacked by a dog, I bought some HealXcel from Tractor Supply and sprayed her 3-5 times daily, kept her in a dog crate and changing newspaper 4-5 times per day. She only missed one day of laying! After 8 days I let her back with the other three hens after putting some bag balm with activated charcoal in it to make her hind end look black so others wouldn't peck her. She has healed nicely and doing well. Her wounds weren't quite as bad as yours is but they do have amazing healing ability so good luck with your girl! I hope she heals and you can protect her when she goes back outside.
