two questions

1. my rooster is a year old last fall and early winter he made noise all the time in the morning and basically when ever he wanted. now that they are outside more during the day I haven't heard him crow once. is that normal.

2. my chickens are pretty much a year old. they were starting to lay towards the fall when should they start to lay eggs again.

re: 1. he's grown up, stopping boasting and settled down. But it's not normal not to crow at all. Can you provide some more information about him and his environment?
