Two rams showed up on our property today. I have a ?

Binoculars.

Cool water and a tarp for shade, then start on the calling. Unless you like getting butted in the butt!

Okay, thanks y'all.
We haven't spotted them today. They could have left the property or they could be sticking to the woods.
It's pretty stormy right now, but I'm going to look for them again in a bit (from my jeep

Any responsible breeder/seller can tell you who bought any animals they sold.

Traceability is the whole point of Scrapies tags

I am a responsible breeder and I can tell you who bought my lambs. BUT, I cannot keep track of them if the person I sold them to sold them to someone else.

Traceablility isn't for convenience and tracking owners, it's for finding out the origin of the sheep in case it has scrapie.

And I seriously doubt the rams would be so aggressive they'd butt a total stranger in a strange area. The only time I've ever been butten by a ram (even very aggressive ones) is after breeding season is over and they're "bored."

I never said they "would" , but simply that they "could"

My Ram, Sam will butt anything any time, just because he LIKES it
Here's one of his favorite games called, "Let's knock down the barn":

It's the only hope of tracing them, no matter what it's purpose.
Hopefully they will be friendly and the owners will show up

If not, it's time for a BBQ
