Two roos dissappeared w/out a trace..will they return tomorrow?UPDATE!

Im the only one with chickens. They ran off fighting. I know that. Question is... How far?

I'm off now listening for crows. They've never gone out of the yard so they may be lost.

So any sign? They may have found something very entertaining and have been sucked in. When they miss mama, I bet they'll come back.

Sending good vibes your way!

I cannot believe it. My hubby and I searched the area again from 5:30 am (crowing time) to 7 when Rus had to go to work. I was in the middle of making up some flyers and I heard a faint crow. I ran to the neighbors (about 50 ft.) and I heard it coming again from they're landscaping. I peeked in the bushes and my cochin is stuck down a basement window well.

He's a little bloodied up but looked good. He was so happy to get out of there, he crowed non-stop (even while I held him) I threw him in the coop (he's the instigator...little #$%&!!) then I ran back to the well and noticed it opened up to a crawlspace. I heard a soft clucking coming from the darkness and there was my main man:) He looked a little worse but he had all his waddles and comb and both eyes!! He was a little shooken up. That cochin must've been chasing him around that dingy crawlspace all night!!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......I'm taking a break and then it's bath time.

OH MY!!!

I'm so glad they are home and in one piece though. Here's hoping that its the last of that!

Thanks so much everyone. And yes, he did come out by himself. I think the cochin was blocking his way out and the cochin couldn't get out by himself. He's bigger and less...athletic:)

I was beginning to think one of the neighbors was sick of the noise, and did a rooster drop (when you get a rooster, drive a few miles down the road look for a little farm with some chickens and...drop!)

My dad used to do that with his extra roos and it was really funny this one time he had two barred rocks that could not get along (it seemed like three or more worked fine -two is no good) so he dropped one. They were both gorgeous and it was a very difficult decision. The next night a fox got his rooster!!

So he went to the drop destination and asked the sweet old lady if she had any roosters she would part with (knowing she'd mention her new found friend.) But no go, that beauty was not for sale:) hahahhaha

Well, anyways my neighbors really surprised me. They saw I got my roosters back and came over to tell me how happy they were to see them and that they'll keep a close eye on them. I couldn't believe it. They said they really enjoy seeing them peck around (in their yards) and hearing their "early morning music" whaaaaa???

Hey congrats on finding them. I know all yesterday i kept coming back to see the outcome.
