I finally got to look at my seramas nest today that she has been sitting on for a couple weeks. I had noticed the younger hen sitting with her alot. Thought she was keeping warm. I was shocked when I saw 12 eggs today that were two different sizes. I candled them and the bigger ones are almost ready and the little ones are just starting. What happens when the older batch hatches and the new batch isn't ready? Will the younger hen stay on them or do I have to incubate them?

The younger hen isn't too great about sitting on them. I don't think she will stay until they hatch.

I'm pretty sure she will, and if not it's worth the try because when the other chicks hatch she's going to totally ignore the other eggs completely and they won't hatch either way. And she might encounter problems with the other hen wanting all the chicks to herself.
