Hi folks

we have two barred rock hens and a rooster.

Ok, we have seven eggs in the bator and two under a broody hen.

All the eggs should be ready to hatch Thursday/Friday.

In the coop there is no real way to separate or protect the broody hen and her eggs, from the other chickens.

So, should we let nature take its course?

Take her eggs and add them to the bator?

Or add the eggs from the bator to her batch?

you could get a large laundry basket and put it over her, that way she is still in the coop but her and the chicks will be protected...
Make sure you give her food and water same with the chicks when they hatch...
I would see how they hatch in the bator and when hers start to hatch slip the bator chicks under her at night....
