Two silkies, one is making a crow noise. Do we have a rooster?

We got two silkies who are about 4 months old. One has started to make a "crow" noise that I haven't heard from hens before.

I think it's a rooster, I just don't want it to be.

Do hens ever do that noise? It's like an ERR EE ERRR that you'd hear from a rooster. They haven't started laying yet either.

Looks like we'll have to rehome it if it is...

Cockerel on the left in the 1st picture and cockerel on the right in the 2nd. He has male-specific feathers on his head. Sorry about not being able to keep him! They are both really pretty.

Yep, I thought so. Oh well. We got 6 in total and so far this is the only one who seems to be a male. Thanks!
