Two Silver Laced Wyandottes (Hen and Roo??)

Thanks for all the input. Right now, it is just about 50/50. My DW and I have been going back and forth for weeks. My DW did tell me last night that the feathers on both appear to be rounded, pullet, then pointy. Is that a good indicator for this breed?

I'd say the first is likely a pullet, but the second a cockeral. When they have the correct lacing it's easier to tell.

Here's a picture of some of mine at 10 weeks. The cockeral is in the back of the picture while the other two are pullets.

even using katy's photos of her 10 week olds.. yours look like two pullets..
katy'sn roo has a very red and wider comb than either of yours and the wattles are redder and more prominent than yours.. Im still learning too so this is fun hope my studying pays off and its two pullets..

What led me to say roo on the second bird is the second picture that was posted....it looks like he's developing saddle feathers. I think it's very hard to tell on the hatchery birds...much harder than on mine.

I have hatchery SLW, too. I believe you have two pullets because by 10 weeks the comb and wattles on my cockrel were as well developed as the ones in Katy's pic. As a matter of fact, it was obvious which was which at around 7 weeks. You have some lovely birds!

I have six about 2 weeks younger and they look exactly like mine. I also have a problem with sexing them.

Katy - I really like that picture, great looking SLW! Looking at them, I am leaning more to two pullets.

I have 2 GLW's and 1 SLW all are Roos. I got them from a local feed store last year saying they were pullets BUT to my surprise they were wrong. But here are some pics at around 8 weeks old. Yours I would def say are pullets. As you can see from my pics the combs on them are very defined on them at a early age.
