I have gotten 2 soft shelled eggs in 4 days from my BO, first one was broken, the other was this evening and it was not broken. Both in the roost coop where they NEVER lay. They have calcium all the time, both oyster shell and their own egg shells broken up. The other 3 are laying good strong eggs, and this one has too, up to now. I feed them real oyster shell, not the processed kind. I am assuming the soft shelled egg is fine to eat, so I washed it off in fairly warm water and put it in the fridge. Any thoughts on what might be going on with her?
