I need to know what made this bleeding happen and how to prevent it from happening again.

Very likely the turkey has a pecked/broken blood or pin feather. Monitor to make sure that others are not pecking at her. The chicken looks like perhaps a white rock or cross of some sort.

4-5 months, I think. I've lost track.

Definitely a pullet because at this age if it was a roo he would have a large comb and wattle. This is just a guess but I would say for the breed it would be a white rock but just a guess.
