I have 2 two week old chicks; one still has a crusty bump on its butt where its umb. Cord was attached. The other chicks' was gone shortly after hatching. Should I be concerned and what do I need to do to treat it. It doesn't look infected or smell its just there. Thank-you.

I would leave it. Just like with real (human) babies, those things fall off when they're ready. Everyone progresses at their own rate. [IMG]

Ya, don't mess with it. I've had some hatch with open navels like that. The end with shrivel up and eventually fall off. Messing with it can open it to infection.
