Two Welsummer hens!!! :)))

The lady that I buy eggs from is giving me two of her Welsummer hens! In trade I am giving her 5 of my babies that I didn't want anyhow...one being a roo. I have young chickens and chicks but nothing close to laying eggs yet (November) and so I'm SO excited! Thought I would share that here. We pick them up on Friday. I will share pics. I know one has a bad back from being over mated the other she said is a fast runner

and her feathers are fine on her back.

Be sure you isolate them from the rest of your chickens.

OH ya...I have an isolation cage all ready...the girls are staying in my garage in our dog kennel for 30 days before we introduce them to the flock.

I read enough horror stories to make SURE I do this! That's why I love this place! I learn A LOT!
