They are both alive so they may have found a way to survive their handicaps.

The string wrapped around the pigeon’s foot isn’t a handicap until it gets too tight and starts cutting off the toes/foot. Right now the OP has a chance to stop it from becoming a permanent disability.

We’re going to that beach today and it will probably be my last chance to help. I will bring bread crumbs for Pixar the 2nd (and the rest of her flock because I miss my girls at home and feeding those guys makes me feel a little better). We are leaving in a few days and again, THIS WILL BE MY LAST CHANCE. If anyone has any more ideas it’s now or never. I hope I can help!!

Ugh. Turns out my parents decided we are going to a different beach. We’ll be going to help these two tomorrow.
