Tying Together Wire for the Run

I am about ready to start putting the wire on the run. I am using the "normal" octagon shaped "chicken wire" that I remember from forever enclosing chicken pens. The wire is 36" wide. I will have to tie together multiple lengths side to side. No, I don't have the luxury of having a board every 36" to nail the wire to.

What have people used to attaché lengths of chicken wire side to side?

I'm thinking of using zip ties but that is going to take a bunch of zip ties.

You realize "chicken wire" will only keep the chickens in, but NOT keep predators out?

The best way to connect wire is by having a board under each joint.
The next best way is use "J-Clips " or "Hog Rings"

Youd REALLY be better off to use wire the right height to begin with, since you'll need to connect it every few inches to be secure
