Tylan 200 injectable how much ?

OK, the Tylan 200............I thought I aspirated a hen yesterday which didn't make sense due to I could not hear chest noises like aspiration, and it's easy to dose. Ended up giving her a tiny pieceof benadryl and today she's fine. never knew a bird could sneeze so hard for so long. I was thinking of changing to oxy or duramycin @ dosage for 200-400 mg for the MS.
I'm also waiting on water suluable Tylan to come in.

Thoughts on changing to this mid course? If so what is egg hold time ...............I'm thinking something is not right with the TYlan bottle I have. Several girls that didn't look sick.............now do.

Tylan won't treat E. coli, pseudomonas or viral infections.

Its what the lab doc at csu said to use for the myco synoveia I'm just wondering if it's ok to change to one of the others mid course.?
And what is egg hold time, oxytetra or duramycin?

Wish I had seen the Denegard posts earlier and not listened to the tylan info seems something is amiss. I know its stronger but uhg

It possible for them to have secondary E. coli or pseudomonas. Before you switch, try giving the max dose, which is 25 mg per pound (0.125 ml) twice a day.

I gave the 0.05ml of the 200. Would the secondary show up in them just since the last labs last week?

Wish the tylan powder didn't have to be ordered. That would take care of them all and added sugar would ensure they're drinking enough

You gave 0.05 ml or 0.5ml? Is the one you're treating the one that was tested? If so, what tests were done? As for the secondary showing up later, yes, I do think it's possible.

Sick ones probably aren't drinking enough, so no guarantee that the powder would work any better.
