Tylan 200 injectable how much ?

Good points Kathy. I've been watching their poo closely also. Just sickening how prevalent this stuff is too

As I've been digesting all this..............Searching for answers, etc more questions arise

Do they ever heal from lameness?

I heard there were vaccines for MS, is so, would it keep new hatches from being carriers?? Where do you get a vaccine for this if it does?

I FOUND IT AND DON'T LIKE WHAT I FOUND

Even vaccinated will cause eggs to be carriers.........no more baby chicks:)
Or since everyone has this crap just tell people because they probably already have it too

Lameness: i think colloidal silver is the only thing that will work. The BO was doing great on it. NOw to put the roo on it...

I’ll probably catch some flack for this but I put tylan in a piece of bread then rub some coconut oil on the bread and sprinkle sugar on it. Remember getting polio vaccine in a sugar cube? I’m dating myself!!

I know this is an old thread but I just came across it. Tylan injectable is what english vets term as "off label" for chickens BUT for a speedy cure, I have had it prescribed for chickens at the rate of 0.5ml injected in the breast muscle, then repeated in the other breast 48 hours later. Egg withdrawal was one week. This isn't usually a big problem because if they are sick enough to have tylan injectable, they arent going to lay an egg for a while anyway. I hope this helps anyone who reads it.

I want to make sure I am understanding the comments, tylan 200 injectable can be given orally? And if so would it still be the .05 ml twice a day???

Welcome To BYC

Tylan has a range of 10-40mg/kg given 2-3 times a day for 5 days in a row.

Midrange dose of 25mg/kg of Tylan 200 would be 0.05ml PER POUND OF WEIGHT given orally 3 TIMES a day for 5 days in a row.
