Tylan 200 Injection Site Necrosis

How would I debride the area? Would this be cutting the skin and removing the tissue? What should I do after the tissue is removed?

Yes, I believe debriding is removing dead and ruined flesh to allow healthy nerve and skin to grow again. I know they do it with burn victims too in severe cases

Took the turkey to the vet this morning. He was able to get rid of all the bad/dead flesh. It was pretty deep. He wants me to clean it 2 times a day with saline solution and then apply some white sugar to the wound. He wants it to heal from the inside out. I have a two week supply of an oral antibiotic. He will touch base with me in 1 - 2 weeks to see if he needs to suture the wound.
Thanks for all your help

I was also told to use the soluble tylan instead of the injectable. Lesson learned - I will never use the injectable tylan again.
