    Is Tylan 50 a good antibiotic for chickens?

    Yes. you can administer 1/2 cc per adult bird or 1/4 cc for juveniles orally (through the mouth) every other day for 6 days (three dosages). You can administer longer, but after 8 days and the birds are not showing signs of recovery, i would consider culling.

    I give my birds the dosage after the local shows even if they show no signs of illness, because of some owners have no idea their birds have a disease or don't care. I thought about not showing my birds in the local fairs anymore, due to the recent fiasco last fall show season.
