Actually I don’t know... after closer inspection the first one seems to have greenish legs. They are probably Easter Eggers. It is very disappointing that the ameraucana breed has become so diluted and even most breeders don’t know or CARE what they are creating. It’s become so bad I’ve heard of judges who judge 4h/ffa Easter Eggers thinking they are ameraucanas, but then the exhibitors have to teach the JUDGES that they are a mutt. It is sad that if someone wanted an ameraucana and payed good money for them they end up with essentially a $3 hatchery chick. To the OP: if they are really EEs, this is NOT your fault! EEs are still great birds, I myself have 3 and love them. It is the fault of irresponsible breeders who don’t care what they are breeding and selling, because they are doing it for money and not to promote the rare and diluted purebreds.Their legs look like the right color for pures
What does the comb look like on the black and white one? That one may be a cockerel.Okay. I will look at feet tomorrow morning. Thanks.
Not a color. She’s an Easter Egger. This little Ameraucana girl was hatched April 22 and I bought her May 2. Can you tell me if she is a Blue, or what? Also I bought two Ameraucana chicks from the same breeder and neither has the facial feathers yet. I also am not sure what the other one is. Maybe brown red? When should I start seeing the facial feathers? Thanks.
