type of fencing

i have a coop with this attached run. i want my ladies to free range during the day when i'm home/weather is nice/etc and i want to fence in a large portion (around an acre) of my yard to keep them from crossing a busy road or going to neighbors. what kind of fencing do i want? how high? do i need electric? i'm looking for something easy to put up and i have black copper marans, Ameraucanas, easter eggers, and olive eggers.

Lots of people use Electric Poultry Netting. Plastic garden/deer fence might also be an option. Neither are fully predator proof, but that is always a downside to free ranging.

I have a secure 10x20 foot run that is attached to my coop they are more or less kept in. Attached to that I have a 10x25 foot uncovered chicken wire run that I can let them out in on pretty days when I'm home. Chicken wire is not secure and will only kinda keep the birds rounded up. That 2nd run is uncovered and only about 5 foot high.
