We are trying to figure out the breed of our roster. We are new to raising chickens, this being our very first set, and didn't pay much attention to the type. Now that we are attempting to figure it out, we realize just how many different breeds exist. We could really use some help! Let me know if more pictures are needed. Thanks!

He is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. (SLW) No doubt about it. This is a SLW Rooster. I would try to keep him for as long as you can. He will make some very cute chicks.

A SLW has a rose comb and NEVER has red spots on the breast.
The SLW roosters have the standing comb and he doesn't have red on his breast. I don't know what your trying to say because he is a SLW.

He's a bit dirty and dusty. I think that is where the red coloring comes from.

Mixed breed rooster. Definitely not a Silver Laced Wyandotte (or at least, not a purebred or good-quality one)-- the comb should be a rose comb, not a single comb, and the coloring seems off.

Thanks for all the help and answers! We truly appreciate it. It's still a learning process for us.
