U.S. Marine turned Chicken lover

Hard to believe that Ken and I have been retired from the Navy since 1990! Seems so funny that we are at the point where we have spent as much time retired as we did active duty! He was in combat as well - spent 2 years in country in Viet Nam in a little village called Chu Lai. We thank you so much for your service and please, thank your family from me too....I know first hand how tough it is to keep it all together during deployments and PCS orders!

Welcome to BYC.....I agree that it would be helpful (and fun!) to show some pictures of your chicks.

Thank you all for your kind words... I am happy to be here and have learned a bunch already. I am excited to start seeing the fruits of my labors and pictures are coming soon. Thinking I may have two Roosters. Maybe some experts can help...

I have posted some pictures. Let me know if you can tell anything. They aren't the best quality but they wouldn't exactly pose for me!

love to see pics, but is it me again ;cos I can;tsee them

Isn't it addicting? If I didn't live in the city I would probably have at least ten more if I could.I have three kids and I am so excited for all the eggs. I bake a lot! We have six chicks right now and can't get any more. Boo! Thank you for your service!

Sorry I had some difficulty. I don't find this website to be the most "user friendly" I'll figure it out though! Also I am sorry these pics aren't the best. I have better ones in my profile. Also my new friends aren't into posing for me yet. LOL!

Thank you for your service. Marine, Doctor, Stay at home Mother, Teacher, Grandma, Burger flipper, doesn't matter what title you hold as chickens are not too fussy about who their owners are as long as their fed, watered, and spoiled. Lol
Glad you found an interest in poultry, I've been reading on this site every night for 2 years and i learn something new everyday. So welcome.
