Welcome to BYC. Thank you for your service. My husband served 20 years with the Van Doos (canadian). He too has been bitten by the chicken bug. He keeps buying me more hens. His favorite time is when we come home from work and they all run down the driveway to great us. They have made him happier too.

The only cockerel I see in the bunch is the BR. He's the lighter one. The EEs are both pullets. The tan pullet looks to be a buff orpington. Nice quiet decent layer of large brown eggs. The white ones could be one of many different breeds. The last one appears to have green legs making her another EE.

Thank you all for your welcomes and help with my flock... I have had several opinions about my chickens... Both of my white pullets have green legs... I Can assume this means they are EE's right? That would actually be quite cool. If one of my Australorps is a Cockerel I am not convinced. My two brown EE's one I am sure is a pullet, the other I feel is a cockerel but not sure yet. Thanks for the tips and keep them coming!

Hello again all! Just thought I would post some updated pictures of my chickens. My Australorps are going on 17 weeks and hopefully she will start laying. I have separated them from the rest of my flock because my Roo (Cogburn) was starting to act aggressive towards my much younger Barred Rock Roo and I would like to keep both until I decide which breed I like better. I really like them both. I would like a little help with my EE/amercuana's... I am not sure what is what now... Do you think they are all EE's? 4? My little Buff Orp has been a funny girl to watch too. She is excellent at finding little treats and keeping them all for herself! Anyway have a great day!

The 2 gold/brown ones are definitely EEs. The white ones could be ameraucanas but you would of paid a premium for them so they are probably EEs as well.
