Well, Colonel has been struggling with frostbite during this cold winter (-20°). It has been a warmer day, so I went out to check on my molting girl. I looked at his comb, and it's kinda green\yellow. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance!

Frostbite is frequently called winter dubbing. The affected parts will turn black (the tips already are), dry up, and eventually fall off. Judging by the picture he is still in excellent condition. I would not worry about him. He should be fine.

Ok, I'm going to check tomorrow for the temp. Right now he is free ranging, and he is very hard to catch! The only way I can lure them back to the coop, is if I give them cat food. And they've already gotten some today!

Vaseline! Or Sudocrem! Slather it in either....Sudocrem will promote healing in the good tissue and sloughing in the dead tissue and either will help protect from further damage xxx

I read that aloe Vera is good to put on the affected areas to promote healing of the less severely affected tissue (I.e. The skin that is not yet dead)?
