Ugh, almost one day old w/black poo & foot problem

Oh these little ones. The second chick hatched yesterday really quickly but had the cord still attached, finally dried off, all seemed well, slept well and now this a.m. we noticed that it has been pooping little black and one not so little black piles. My daughter also noticed that on her one foot where the toe should be in the back seems to be in the side/front at times so it looks like it has 4 toes from the side/front/side area. Any ideas on these two things? It still seems to be peeping and hoping about like nothings wrong, well doesn't get around as quickly. Thanks for any thoughts

As for the poop, if it does not seem lethargic, I would not worry too much. You could try giving it some crumbled cooked egg yolk for a nutrition boost. Keep us posted on his progress!
