Caught my EE limping, so I scooped her up, checked her feet and yup bumble foot. I don’t think it’s bad, I think I caught it in time before it did get bad. I started her last night with a 20 min epsom salt soak, veterycin spay, wrapped it and put her back out, this morning soaked it, sprayed it, wrapped it, back out.
So couple of questions, because I’ve never dealt with it before.
1. How many times a day do I soak, I get conflicting answers.

2. with it wrapped it should be ok outside? It’s a little wet out from the dew, and I do think it’s going to rain today.

3. do you think I can soak for 10 days, with it not being bad and I should be good? I really don’t wanna cut up her foot if I don’t have to. I don’t like to take drastic measures first before weighing out less drastic measures first.
First 2 pics was from last night

Hello chicken nuggets glad you caught that bumble foot on time indeed you might not have to cut it up it seems small instead u might wanna feel for the root in her feet see how big it exactly is in some cases you may be able to push it out as to the soaking I can’t say as where I don’t treat bumble foot like that at least since every time I see it’s much bigger than that you might wanna try and give amoxicillin it helps with the infections I’ve seen it’s quite good

I probably won’t do antibiotics yet, I don’t like using them if I don’t need too. I’ll keep soaking and wrapping for now. :)

Have you removed the scab?

If she's messing with the bandage a lot, then it may be too tight or uncomfortable. Look up some videos on how to wrap a chicken foot - see if there's any tips you can glean from them. It just takes practice in getting it right. Sometimes I have to re-do wrappings if the bird picks at it - I know I have it wrong. If I do it right, they act like it's not there.

the little black thing isn’t hard so I’m not gonna mess with it. I’ll keep soaking it. And I’ve done the wrap loose, and a little tighter and she still keeps picking it off. 🤷‍♀️

The black thing is a scab - that's the evidence of Bumblefoot.

It probably is soft if you have been soaking it a lot.
Well I found her limping a bit yesterday, immediately checked her feet, and soaked her and wrapped, today soaked her for 20 mins again. I’m hoping the soaking the scab will fall off on its own. I don’t like to take drastic measures first, if I can try for less drastic.
