i have a 3 week old black silkie who has been having leg problems since the day it hatched. it holds its right leg way up in the air behind-above it and hobbles around on its left leg. it puts its right leg down when it stands, but it never touches the ground. its about half the size of my other silike that hatched the same day, but eats and drinks on its own. i have tried the band-aid method (for splayed leg) and tried some chick chair thing that was on a link someone on BYC posted on 1 of my post. the poor thing got trampled today by the other chicks and got all wet from the rain. it was pretty motionless and barely breathing but i wrapped it in a napkin and set it directly under the heat lamp and it is its normal self again hobbling around and cheeping loudly. i want to help it so bad, but i dont know how. please help! thanks.
