I pulled one of my Old Navy fleeces out of the closet and found it riddled with holes. We've had problems with moths / larvae before, but never this bad.

I'm past the point of using things like ceder, etc. I just want them all gone and dead.

Any ideas on the best way to get rid of them? I'm not even sure the kind or type of bug, but I'm thinking about bug bombing the rooms to kill everything it can find.

Why would an insect eat holes in fleece?I would think only 'natural' fabric-I'm thinking mice(sorry!)And try not to bugbomb-maybe mousetrap instead. Those bug bombs are nasty chemicals-and residue may not be what you really want on surfaces touched by children and adults or other pets...
But good luck!

Could it be ants?..I have had a terrible time in the past with ants getting in the closet , coming up under the baseboard in the back and getting on the clothes and eating tiny holes in them.

Silverfish will eat anything too!!

Well, you could always enjoy the lovely fragrance of moth balls!

Bomb the excess and bag up anything that won't look stylish with holes. If not moths, Silverfish, etc. Same with with important papers/books that aren't accessed often.

Perhaps you're in the Mob and not wanting to admit that that might be the cause...

Sorry to pick on you Nifty - but I can't resist. Good luck with your buggy problem. We'll buy you a new Old Navy fleece for your birthday.

Take all your clothes out of the closet and wash them in hot water. Those that cannot be washed should be bagged and placed in the freezer for no less than 24 hours. This will kill any remaining larve. (Mrs. Nifty will love this)

Run a dehumidifier in the closet or bedroom if you can. Moths are most comfortable in 70% or more humidity. Less than this will create an environment that is less than satisfying and chances are they will move on.

Buy moth traps- oh yea, and set them, too. Just buying them and leaving them behind the seat of the car will do no good.

Store any unseasonable clothes in airtight, plastic bins- but then, I hear California only has one season... Moth season

Good luck!!!
