Ugh... moths eating clothing! What should I do?

After one bad go around with moths I keep all wool/animal fiber yarn and wool clothing in plastic totes. Have used washing and freezing to kill the eggs, larvae, and adults. I repair moth eaten clothing before washing, less unraveling. Have read that some people have good results microwaving yarn, have not tried that though. For my closest, treating any wool that had a chance to have eggs or cocoons on it was the only way I got ahead of them. Good luck!

Guinea in the closet for a day might fix it!
...sorry

We got some plain old fashioned mothballs at Walmart and they worked fine. I was opposed to the idea, I ranted a bit about napthalene and sublimation of carcinogens, but then I saw that they aren't made of napthalene anymore.
Not sure benzene is much better, but anyway, they worked.

My mother used to store all our woolens with plenty of bay leaves scattered throughout, or good ol' bar soap (Dove, Irish Spring etc). Apparently the smell of the soap and/or bay leaves bugged the bugs no end. When she remembered to do that we never got holes in our clothes. Good luck.

I would take everything out of the closet.. wash everything...
Get several packs of fog bombs(check to be sure that they kill moths..etc..) ... put one right inside the closet...
repeat this in 2 weeks.... then i'd do it again in 2 more weeks ( just to make sure you got any that could have hatched from eggs...)
May the force be with you.... Those suckers are a PIA to get rid of....
