I can't saw it was overly thin. I'll throw one more reason I feel I may have a problem. I think I have 3 layers right now.Was the shell there....was it thin?
Thin and soft shelled eggs, common with new layers are fair game for eating IMO,
and won't necessarily lead to a habit of breaking solid shells for eating,
tho it is best to try to grab these asap to deter a possible bad habit,
hard to do that working your hours.
Two of them are laying light brown eggs and another is laying a medium shade of brown. Noticeably darker. Well the darker brown eggs are the only ones I've found eaten.
I'm wondering if she's laying them and immediatly breaking into and eating them.
