UGH! Rain and the art of keeping the flock dry

It was raining here for the last two days and the girls have a half covered area in their coop - which they wouldnt let the littlest one under

She looked so miserable and I was at a loss to know what to do.

I dragged a plastic outside table, for instant cover, and also a wooden pallet to stand on for her to get off the wet grass. She was as happy as..

then the others got jealous and took that over... sigh

rain is slowing me down but i got the foundation done the walls up (not all sheeted) and the trusses scratch built and on ...tomorrow ill deck the roof (I hope)
