UGH! Still can't upload avatar!

I have my pic down to 41 x 35 pixels. I went to shrinkpictures.com and then shrunk it even more. The page is still telling me it's too big,

What file type is it? JPGs generally work the best.

Actually, for small avatars a gif image is usually smaller. In fact, 99% of the time people have problems with a jpg that is too big in kb, a gif will work.

Miss_Jayne's way worked (2nd link) I did it the first way about 20 times. Why do you have to upload it, save it, and upload it again to another place? Good thing I like this one- it's too big of a pain in the butt to change it very often!
