i ordered 8+ show frizzle hatching eggs from ebay about a week ago and paid 15 dollars +12 dollars shipping with insurance. when they arrived i opened the box and had 12 instead of only 8. one was not as well bubble wrapped and had a small crack in itand since it was no good anyway i cracked it open to see if it was even fertile, well the yolk was completely scrambled. i set the other 11 eggs out for 24 hours the put them in the bator, my temp is 100.3 and humidity is around 50% well that was 6 days ago when i candled them today there is no growth no veins 2 have bacteria rings and the rest of them have scrambled yolks. considering how expensive these eggs were what should i do? should i message the seller about it? idk im just so mad right now!

I've had that happen and it's not the sellers fault but it wouldn't hurt to contact them, tell them what was going on with the hatch. They may send you more just for shipping charges, that's what I would do.

okay what do you think about this message? i think it explains what happened but doesnt seem like im expecting anything?

hi i just wanted to let you know that out of the 12 frizzle eggs that you sent me when i opened the box one was cracked so i cracked it all the way open and the yolk was scrambled but i set the other 11 out for 24 hours and put them in the bator and today when i candled them today on day 6 none of them were developing 2 had bacteria rings and the rest had scrambled yolks. i know theres probably nothing you can do about it but i thought you may like to know just in case

anything i should add? take out? suggestions please

If they don't offer to send more I would ask. Just say you will pay shipping charges. Won't hurt to ask at all. I always send more if someone doesn't have a good hatch from my hatching eggs sometimes I pay everything sometimes I ask for shipping charges.

I have questions. how can you tell by candling that the yolk is scrambled? isn't day 6 a bit early to candle ??

If I was the seller, I would be upset that the post office ruined eggs that I had carefully gathered from my wonderful hens, chose the best cleanest eggs, wrapped with care and made a special trip to the post office with my delicate package, hope hope hope they arrive in 2 to 3 days in excellent condition, only to find out that the buyer is blaming me for sending junk eggs. but thats just me.

you can't see the round yolk, but I never candle before 10 days because you can miss veining before then

I think your note is polite and doesn't sound like you're blaming them. Maybe candle a final time in a couple more days as suggested above, and then send the note if there are still problems. I think most sellers like to know what happens to their eggs.
