UGLIEST crowing from 8 week old roo

This is the only adult male I have, he’s in a cage with 5 ladies.

He just started crowing and it’s not the pleasant trilling I’ve heard other quails do, he belts out a “KROROROROROAHHH!!!” And it’s super loud...... song birds indeed

Is this normal? Will he get the hang of it in time?

One of our males when they were little were just like "SQUEAKBARKBORK!" but then they grew out of that and now they sound like "BARK BORK BAAARRRK!" so yeah, i'm guessing he'll grow out of it. :>

He is cute, but also a jerk. He hogs the dust bath and won’t let the ladies have a turn...... until one of the ladies taught him a lesson

I'm pretty sure he was. He was part of a 50 bird hatch, though, so I lost track of him in the crowd even though I tried marking a leg with nail polish.
