I was sweeping once and I thought the broom was hitting the roost, but it was the orp. pecking at it, she does not like it at all.
My australorp is in love with the broom, whenever I sweep she runs to it and tries to get really close to it, she also tries to eat everything I just swept into a pile.

* Well, Perky is molting so I was sweeping up HER feathers!! Also, Chook lets me scrub out the tub with a smaller broom--with her still in the tub, if need be! So, I really wasn't expecting the "chicken freak-out" when I broke out the broom!!!
