Uh oh, air quality issue

@Blooie That's a good idea I'm going to watch for one. Then I could close these windy vents and maybe have a fan on a timer.

Ours stayed open 24/7 all year round and we just switched on the fan in the summer or if we felt the air needed a "boost" of fresh. We also kept windows on the downwind side of weather open...had them on every side but the north side. Prolonged temps in the -20 degree range in winter are not unusul here, and one year our last snowfall was June 6th!

It's only marginally less extreme here. Couple weeks of rarely getting above zero is typical. Not usually -20 though, although it's happened.
I wish I had more of a downwind side but really no such thing.

Quick update. The south facing vent I installed yesterday was letting a little too much air in, nearing drafts. I ended up out there adding a piece of rubber matting a few inches out shielding the wind. Draft solved although its not pretty. Humidity dropped overnight to low 70s(was over 80% at night). Think that's adequate?

52% outside on a fancy weather station.
(Oops posted too soon)
So still higher for sure. Likely will be lower tonight, blasting wind has returned. I'm shocked it's higher, I keep the cobwebs on purpose and they are very actively moving.

No drafts low. I'd just think that humidity would be lower with all that air movement. Bedding is nice and dry. I guess I'll just watch it for now, they seem comfortable enough.
